Shia scholars reject what has been asserted in history regarding Abdullah bin Saba’; their reason for this is that in the chain of transmitters of this story, there is Seyf bin Umar whom they consider famous for his lying. Please give some examples of his lies that he has become famous for, along with citations and references.

Koleini says in his book (Kafi, vol. 1, p 239): "A group of our followers have narrated from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Abdullah Bin Hajal, from Ahmad Bin Umar Halabi from Abu Basir that he said: "I went to Imam Sadiq and said: "May I be your ransom, I want to ask you a question, is there anyone here that will hear my voice?" He continues that the Imam then pushed the curtain aside, took a look and said: Ask whatever you like. He says: "I said: May I be your ransom… " He was silent for a moment and then said: The book of Fatimah is with us and what do people know (they know nothing) about the book of Fatimah?! Abu Basir says that I asked: What is the book of Fatimah? He replied: It is a book three times the Quran you possess today in length, by Allah it does not consist of one letter of the Quran you possess today! Abu Basir says that I commented: By Allah, this is complete knowledge. The Imam replied: This is also knowledge, but not complete knowledge."Did the prophet and his companions know about the Quran of Fatimah and its content? If the prophet did not know about it and its content, then how come his household did? He was a prophet of Allah and if he knew about it, why didn't he inform the Ummah? while Allah says in the Quran: "O Apostle! Communicate that which has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not, you will not have communicated His message, and Allah shall protect you from the people. Indeed Allah does not guide the faithless lot."

I have also read on the internet that this is a hadith from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him). Please give me information about this and please tell me how correct or reliable this hadith is. Thank you.

Why should half of Khums be given to sayyids, and is Khums something that has been crafted and introduced by Shiites? As far as I know, there is only one verse in the Quran regarding Khums. I wonder why the Sunnis who claim to be the followers of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) do not recognize Khums. I believe paying Khums can be very helpful in adjusting wealth and reducing class gap.

It is well-known among mujtahids that identifying the subject of a rule is the responsibility of the mukallaf whereas the determination of the rule itself is the duty of the mujtahid. But in many instances we notice that mujtahids give their opinion with respect to the identification of the subject. Is it obligatory to act upon them in this regard? Thank you.
