What is meant by the passage of Ziyarat Ashura that speaks of the imams being refused their position and status “و لَعَنَ اللَّهُ اُمَّةً دَفَعَتْکُمْ عَنْ مَقامِکُمْ وَ اَزالَتْکُمْ عَنْ مَراتِبِکُمُ الَّتى رَتَّبَکُمُ اللَّهُ فیها” (May Allah condemn and damn the people who tried to obscure and deny your position and status, willfully neglected your rank and class Allah had made known in clear terms)? Is it trying to say that the imams lost their position and rank of wilayah, while as we all know, the imams cannot be stripped of their position and status?
